Class Details

Within the beginner classes I’ll teach you and guide you through simple breath, visualisation, mindfulness, contemplation, mantra and loving kindness meditations that provide the core foundations to meditation.

Once you’ve made a booking you will be emailed further details about the course, venue and what to expect. In the meantime you can visit the FAQ page to find out more information.

Once you feel you have attended enough beginner classes to have a sound foundation of meditation, you will have the opportunity to sign up to the Intermediate classes (soon to be added), to continue your meditation journey.

Venue

The session takes place upstairs in the library; when you walk into the building, turn left and on your left you’ll see some stairs. Once upstairs, turn right and cross the landing area to the door which will have a sign with the Watch the Sunrise logo on it. It is a lovely spacious room with large windows and plenty of space if you want the option of sitting or laying on a yoga mat to do the meditations. There will be standard chairs laid out for attendees to sit on, as well as a few larger more padded chairs which are available to use. There is no need to arrive more than a few minutes before the start time (there may be another person using the room before our session). However, if you arrive early, you can use the library facilities – downstairs they have a toilet, comfy seating areas and a fantastic selection of meditation and wellbeing books that you might like to check out. The whole building is accessible, with a lift to the upstairs room if required, rather than the stairs.

Ts&Cs

Payment is required up front to confirm a booking. For in person group classes at external venues if you contact Watch the Sunrise to cancel with more than 48 hours notice, you will be offered the choice of EITHER a refund less a £5 administration fee OR the option to re-schedule your full booking payment amount to another future class or event with places available. If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice you will only be offered the option of rescheduling your booking payment amount to another future class or event with places available. If Watch the Sunrise has to cancel a class/event/session due to unforeseen and/or extenuating circumstances, individuals who have paid to book places on said session will be contacted with as much notice as is feasibly possible and will be given a full refund within 7 working days. For full refund policy see the policy page.

When booking you’ll be asked to complete a short form with some personal details which will allow me to make any adjustments I can, to ensure the meditation classes are as accessible and comfortable as possible. Meditation is a safe and effective stress management tool however the form will also identify any health circumstances that require you to seek medical advice before you start meditation.
