Release + Ground Pilates and Meditation Session

£25.00

Saturday 14th November 2026 ~ 10am-12midday ~ Blundeston Village Hall ~ £25

This special two hour session is all about embracing the seasonal rhythm of autumn. Both the Pilates and meditation elements will focus on connection, restoration and gentle energising.

The meditations will be delivered by me and will be about connecting the mind and body as the season shifts. The Pilates will be led by the wonderful Jan Pickering of JP Pilates. This will be all about mindful movement to warm the body, release tension in the upper back and ribs, and to promote core strength to support a healthy posture through the colder months.

There will be a break half way through the session with hot and cold drinks and light snacks provided.

No experience of Pilates or meditation required. Mats and chairs are provided, but you are welcome to bring a blanket and cushion for extra cosiness during the final meditations which will close the session.

Venue: Blundeston Village Hall, Hall Lane, Blundeston, Lowestoft, NR32 5BL. Please arrive at 9:55am so we can be ready to begin at 10am.

Did you know…

There are significant potential benefits for your mind and body when you meditate and practice mindfulness? There is now a huge body of scientific evidence and research studies that show how meditation can positively impact our health and wellbeing. The NHS now recognises and recommends mindfulness as a complimentary therapy, and this is a type of meditation that can be easily integrated into your daily life.

Meditation isn’t about turning off our brains; it’s about taking some time to observe our minds and bodies as they are, learning techniques and tools for letting go of worries and anxieties about the past and the future, and instead embracing and accepting the present moment. There are lots of ways you can meditate, methods you can use, and places and times you can do it; it isn’t one size fits all, its about exploring and experimenting to find what suits you.

Meditation can:

  • Reduce stress, anxiety & pain

  • Reduce blood pressure, cholesterol & cellular aging

  • Improve sleep & emotional regulation

  • Help regulate the nervous system & strengthen the immune system

  • Improve focus, creativity & productivity

  • Cultivate a positive outlook & feeling of connection

  • Bringing a sense or calm, clarity & compassion
